North 40

We have been going to the high land and admiring our fresh cut hay in the evenings. Sunsets are my favorite time of the time and this fall has been particularly green and lush. You might notice there are no hay bales in this picture. Our friends bale 1/2 of the meadow and graze the other 1/2 and we are going to alternate annually. So the above has had cow calf pairs this year and the living has been good until recently when they decided to take down the electric fence and come see what our llamas have been eating :-) I found the llama girls all huddled in a corner insulted by the intruders.

  1. You can tell cattle have been on that ground, and not sheep. Sheep pastures look like golf courses. :^)

  2. Nice photo - the layers of color look like a tapestry weaving.
